The Davis Island Yacht Club is a private, member-owned yacht club situated at the south end of Davis Islands in Tampa, Florida. The club sponsors a heavy schedule of sailing races, an active cruising fleet and a strong youth sailing organization.

"The principal purpose of the Club shall be to promote sailing in all its forms, to form a social nucleus with activities for people primarily interested in sailing, to develop and maintain active relationships with other sailing organizations, to promote racing and cruising for pure enjoyment, to promote safety on the water-ways, and to foster a spirit of good fellowship and helpfulness."




Dore Drake - October 20

Attention all women sailors! The annual Dore Drake Regatta will be held on October 20. There will be classes for keelboats (spin and non-spin), coach-on-board, and dingy. We are looking for women skippers and crew, as well as members to lend their boats for a day of racing. Get involved and support the growth of women's sailing at Davis Island Yacht Club!

Halloween Regatta - October 27

The 2018 Halloween Regatta will be held on October 27, 2018 and is a DIYC Boat of the Year event. Come race and enjoy a Halloween party following racing with a live bank.

Egmont Key Race - November 10

The 2018 Egmont Key Race will be held on November 10. This is the oldest running sailboat race on the west coast of Florida! The race is both a DIYC and Suncoast BOTY event. There is short course for smaller boats that will stay inside the Skyway Bridge, but still offer a challenging course. The long course will go “around” Egmont key, once again qualifying the race for the prestigious Wall perpetual trophy. All racers can look forward to the traditional DIYC event at the club to finish off the race.

2018 Thanksgiving Regatta - Nov 24 - 25

Come join a weekend of racing after the Thanksgiving holiday. The regatta is open to any monohull centerboard boats. Anticipated Classes: Optimist (Green, White, Blue, Red), Laser, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7, C420. There will also be a Portsmouth Class on Saturday only open to boats such as Fireball, Mutineer, Windmill, Lightning, Flying Scot, and Sunfish.
