Built to Endure: 21 Years of the Clubhouse
Standing Strong: Reflecting on 20+ Years of Our Clubhouse and the Resilient Spirit Behind It
Join us as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of our "new" clubhouse! This milestone marks more than two decades of memories, camaraderie, and the resilient spirit that defines DIYC.
Event Details:
Date & Time: Saturday, October 18, 5:00–9:00 PM
Attire: Yacht club casual.
Music: Our fantastic DJ will keep the dance floor lively with music and line-dancing lessons.
Food: Traditional DIYC potluck – the Club will provide mojo pork and cake, and members are invited to bring a side to share. Please sign up with your dish here: SignUpGenius Potluck Sign-Up so we have a well-rounded table of sides.
Special Celebrations:
First 100 members will be honored at 4:30 PM
Group photos by decade will be taken every 15 minutes starting at 5:00 PM:
5:00 PM – 1976 to 1980
5:15 PM – 1980 to 1990
5:30 PM – 1990 to 2000
5:45 PM – 2000 to 2010
6:00 PM – 2010 to 2020
6:15 PM – 2020 to present

All boats: $134.38 ($125.00 plus 7.5% tax)
Awards Ceremony & Adult Costume Contest – Dare to dress as your favorite Netflix Series characters
Regatta Fee includes: 2 Buffet tickets per boat, keg beer & sodas, and Live Music by Classix ~ 1700 - Rock the night away
Italian Buffet – Feast for all Party guests to purchase
Extra buffet tickets: $17.95 + tax (Order by Oct. 17)
Regatta T-Shirts – $35 + tax (Order by Oct. 8)

Open to women skippers & crews for a keelboat and dinghy race. Entry fee includes signature drinks, a meal, and a swag bag. Please bring a covered side for the post-race potluck.
Interested in Sailing? Join a Crew!
If you'd like to get out on the water, stop by the Membership Committee table—located next to the upstairs bar—on Thursday evening and let us know you're “crew looking for a boat.” Whether you’re an experienced sailor or brand new to the sport, all are welcome. We’ll do our best to match you with a boat and help you learn more about sailing as a guest of one of our skippers.
Please Note:
To enjoy the evening at the Club—including food, drinks, and the view—you must be sailing. Guests should be physically able to participate on a boat. Age is not a barrier, but mobility is important for your safety and enjoyment.
Helpful Details for First-Time Guests:
Please plan to arrive by 5:00 PM.
Park outside the front gate and walk into the Club grounds.
The main dining room is on the second floor of the Clubhouse.
Dress comfortably for sailing, and please wear white or non-marking soles. We also recommend leaving valuable jewelry at home.
What to Expect:
The length of the race depends on the wind, but most boats return by around 8:30 PM. We sail in light rain or mild weather, but safety always comes first. The Race Committee will decide by 6:00 PM whether racing is on or off for the evening.

This 9-event Series includes both Drop-Mark and Distance racing for Spinnaker A and B divisions, plus Distance races for Racer-Cruiser, Cruising, and Multi-Hull.
