2026 A-Class World Championship
November 7-14, 2026
Davis Island Yacht Club is proud to welcome the A-Class fleet to Tampa for the 2026 A-Class World Championship and the A-Class Admiral’s Cup.
Event activities begin November 7. World Championship racing is scheduled for November 9–13, with November 14 reserved as an alternate racing day, followed by the Awards and Closing Ceremony.

The 2026 A-Class Catamaran Admiral’s Cup will be held at Davis Island Yacht Club November 4–6, 2026, immediately preceding the World Championship.
The Admiral’s Cup serves as the Pre-Worlds event and will be hosted at the same venue as the World Championship.

Racing & Sailing Conditions
Racing will take place on Hillsborough Bay.
Early November in Tampa typically brings daytime temperatures in the mid-to-high 70s°F, with mild evenings and Gulf water temperatures around 70°F.
Winds on Hillsborough Bay are generally northeasterly at approximately 8–15 knots, with the possibility of occasional shifts. The Club basin is sheltered and calm, while the open bay provides a steady breeze and good sailing conditions. Mostly clear skies are typical.
Boat & Trailer Storage
Boat and trailer assignments will be provided closer to the event.
Trailer locations will be assigned before arrival. Please follow directions from event volunteers when you arrive and throughout the event.
Vehicles will be parked outside the Club gates during the regatta, with temporary access provided for launching preparation and haul-out.
Launching
A-Class boats will launch from Davis Island Yacht Club Point Beach, located at the end of the road through the Yacht Club.
Follow the road past the Clubhouse to reach the launch area.
Volunteers will be available to assist with parking, launching and event logistics.
The Club and adjacent public beach provide boat storage and launching areas. Trailers and containers will be located close to the launch area to help minimize walking and make launching and rigging easier.
When You Arrive
The Regatta Room will serve as registration and Race Headquarters. It is located on the ground level of the Clubhouse facing the Bay.
Volunteers will be available to help with:

- Event logistics
Please follow directions from event volunteers when you arrive.
A competitor WhatsApp group will also be available for helpful, unofficial event communication and announcements.

Getting to Tampa
By Air
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the closest major airport to Davis Island Yacht Club and is recommended for most travelers, including international visitors.
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is approximately 90 minutes from Tampa, depending on traffic.
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) primarily serves domestic destinations, with some seasonal international service.

Tampa International Airport Expansion
